On February 28 at 11 a.m. at the National Palace Museum (Jongno-gu, Seoul), the National Heritage Administration presented a plaque of appreciation to Shinsegae (CEO Park Joo-hyung) for its contribution to the promotion of national heritage.
Last year, the National Heritage Administration and Shinsegae cooperated to promote the value of national heritage by transmitting a three-dimensional (3D) video made with a bronze dragon, an artifact in the collection of the National Palace Museum, as well as a promotional video for the launch of the National Heritage Administration (24.5.17.) through 'Shinsegae Square,' a large electronic billboard (digital signage) installed at the headquarters of Shinsegae Department Store (Myeongdong, Seoul).
In response, the National Heritage Administration presented a plaque of appreciation to the organization for its contribution to the promotion of national heritage through the 'Shinsegae Square' billboard in the center of Seoul, where there are many tourists and people flowing through the streets.
Choi Eung-cheon, head of the National Heritage Administration, personally handed over the plaque to Park Joo-hyung, CEO of Shinsegae, and then the two organizations visited the bronze dragon and other artifacts on display at the National Palace Museum.
Choi Eung-chun, head of the National Heritage Administration, said, “Thanks to the broadcasting of various national heritage promotional videos through ‘Shinsegae Square’ last year, the beauty and value of national heritage was widely known to domestic and foreign tourists, and we have identified new possibilities for public-private cooperation to enhance its value.”
The National Heritage Administration plans to continue promoting various promotional activities with Shinsegae this year to inform the public about the value and beauty of Korea's national heritage.
